Is PC a discrimination?

As I have written in What is the meaning of PC? (aogakupc.blogspot.com), political correctness is used to criticize language that seems intended to give the least amount of offense when describing groups identified by external markers such as race, gender, culture, or sexual orientation, so it is used as a discrimination.

When did the meaning of PC changed?

The term "Political Correctness" appeared in a U.S. Supreme Court decision about the boundaries of federal jurisdiction in 1793. It has been used to describe what is politically wise, and it has been employed as ironic self-mockery. However, leftists in the 1970s and 1980s used the term as self-critical, ironic satire. It used as a joke among leftists. Later, the term was started to be used as a criticism of New Left modern in the late 20th century and popularized by a number of articles in The New York Times and other media. Why is PC being criticized?/What is "Social Justice Warrior" aka "SJW"?/ Why is "SJW" being criticized?/Is certain people becoming too aggressive trying to push and conform people to their ideology?

Social Justice Warriors, aka SJWs, use political correctness as a weapon to criticize what they think is "politically incorrect". Social justice warrior (SJW) is a term used for an individual who promotes socially progressive and liberal views, including feminism, civil rights, gay and transgender rights. Most of the time, saying somebody is a SJW means that they are pursuing his/her personal validation rather than the actual "liberal" way of thinking. What is "Gamergate"?

The Gamergate controversy is an online harassment campaign, primarily conducted through the use of the hashtag #GamerGate, that centered on issues of sexism and anti-progressivism in video game culture such as harassment campaigns targeting game developers Zoë Quinn and Brianna Wu, as well as Anita Sarkeesian, a feminist critic.
