Introduction to This Blog

   In this blog, I will focus on the Political Correctness. 

"The great game's sequel became one of the most controversial game in the history because of political correctness." This is the main reason why I became interested in this topic.

I haven't thought much about political correctness issues until the game "The Last of Us Part 2" was released. "Last of Us Part 2", a sequel of a internationally popular game "The Last of Us", is one of the most controversial game ever released in the history. It received high scores from the critics but the user score was fairly low. This was because of the political correctness issues. "Last of Us Part 2" has political point of views such as LGBTQ and woman's rights and they heavily affected the game's story in a bad way.

So, this blog will be focused on political correctness mainly in sub-cultures such as games and films.


※The political correctness here is used as a term of avoidance of language or action that are perceived to exclude or insult groups of people who are socially disadvantaged or discriminated. I am not using PC as a original meaning.

Why is PC being criticized?/What is "Social Justice Warrior" aka "SJW"?/ Why is "SJW" being criticized?/Is certain people becoming too aggressive trying to push and conform people to their ideology?

 Social Justice Warriors, aka SJWs, use political correctness as a weapon to criticize what they think is "politically incorrect". Social justice warrior (SJW) is a term used for an individual who promotes socially progressive and liberal views, including feminism, civil rights, gay and transgender rights. Most of the time, saying somebody is a SJW means that they are pursuing his/her personal validation rather than the actual "liberal" way of thinking.  So basically, it is not the political correctness itself that are being criticized but the SWJs, people who are using it as a weapon are instead.
